Description of organization: Founded in 1996, Colorado Progressive Coalition (CPC) is a statewide, multi-racial, multi-issue network of people and organizations. We fight for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. We have 5,500 members statewide and 40 member groups. CPC builds coalitions, organizes communities, registers thousands of new voters, gets out the vote for tens of thousands of people yearly, develops new leaders, and pushes elected leaders to build a progressive future for Colorado. Currently we are working across the state collecting surveys regarding Health Care to be shared with the Blue Ribbon Commission on health care reform, we are fighting to make the Earned Income Tax Credit permanent, we are also building new local chapters in cities across the state.
