Description of organization: EarthLinks connects homeless and at-risk, low-income adults with nature, offering innovative programs, providing healing adventures, a sense of community and support toward empowering life changes. Among our programs are: day trips into nature for the homeless and others in the margins , garden projects at different residential care/ therapeutic communities, and our micro enterprise called GreenFingers (a pre-employment skill development program liked to gardening art). Volunteers are needed to help prep for art/garden workshops, mailing parties, data entry and other office work, and sell our product at weekend craft booth sales in the metro area. Volunteers for our garden projects during the summer help work in the gardens and during the winter we do winter crafts that volunteers can assist in. It is helpful for volunteers to have transportation.
