Club Sports

Get your game on

students playing rugbyWhether they're playing the traditional stick-and-ball sports such as hockey and softball or the nontraditional sports like kung fu and kickball, DU students like to break a sweat and get a little friendly competition, too.

Men and women can choose from 30 club sports and up to 22 intramural sports based out of the Ritchie Center for Sports & Wellness. DU's club and intramural activities are all team sports, so it's also easy to score a few new friends as well as victories.

Men's club sports range from basketball, hockey and lacrosse to rugby and soccer. The options for women include basketball, hockey, lacrosse and soccer.

Coed sports, meanwhile, offer a vast array of options: ballroom dance, cycling, dance, equestrian, field hockey, figure skating, inline hockey, kayaking, racquetball, shao-lin kung fu, skiing, snowboarding, tae kwon do, tennis, ultimate Frisbee and volleyball.

Intramural sports include 7x7 outdoor soccer, basketball, hockey, kickball, softball, ultimate Frisbee, golf and flag football.

Hundreds of DU students participate in club and intramural sports on campus. Most of them get to use the same world-class facilities as DU's Division I athletes.
