Cherrington Global Scholars:
Your Passport to Global Citizenship
DU students make a difference and see the world through International Service Learning programs. In December 2007, six students traveled to Ecuador for a project organized by DU's International House.
If you need a good remedy for jet lag, ask a DU junior. Chances are, they've crossed the international dateline, dipped below the equator and cleared all manner of language barriers in the interest of advancing their studies and learning about other cultures and perspectives.
Sixty-nine percent of DU undergraduates study abroad, compared to 1 percent of undergraduate students nationwide. We rank second among U.S. doctoral-level universities in the percent of our undergrads that study abroad.
We make study abroad accessible
One of the University of Denver's signature programs is Cherrington Global Scholars, a study abroad opportunity available to eligible juniors and seniors—all at no additional cost beyond that of a term at DU.
Through this one-of-a-kind initiative, you will spend at least a quarter studying in another country, learning about other cultures while taking courses at a DU-approved university. You will return to DU with sharpened critical thinking abilities, an appreciation for other worldviews and a passport stamped "global citizen."
