DU CAMPUS
Academic Commons
In June 2011, DU closed the 41-year-old Penrose Library building to begin renovating it into a multimedia collaboration and study space.
Set to open in winter 2013, the Academic Commons at Penrose Library will accommodate digital and print collections, expand the space by 10,000 square feet, and provide new reading and café space. The project is being funded through donations to DU's Ascend campaign.
Students can access Library resources during the project through Penrose@Driscoll, its temporary home on the second floor of the Driscoll Student Center's northern end. Find more information about Penrose@Driscoll and other relocated Library services.
