On March 25, 2013, the University of Denver opened the Anderson Academic Commons, a new educational services center at the site of the former Penrose Library.

The nearly two-year construction project culminated with a building that accommodates digital and print collections, expands the space by 10,000 square feet, and provides new reading and café space.
