Building Maintenance Shops
The Building Maintenance Shops are a core component of Facilities Operations. The shops deliver a range of services to the University including emergency response, routine and preventative maintenance, and minor alterations to existing facilities. The department is comprised of five trade shops (General Maintenance, Electric, Plumbing, HVAC, and Lock/key) which are responsible for helping maintain over 4 million square feet of building space including over 400,000 square feet of parking garages. They support the Residence Hall Maintenance and Ritchie Maintenance Shops. The craft shops function as the stewards of the University building systems. No one knows the buildings and systems better than the individuals that provide service to them daily. The shop workers and supervisors are committed to providing quality service and support to the campus environment. Work Requests for all maintenance requests can be put in by using our on line request form. For questions and customer service support call 13144
