Grounds & Irrigation

Grounds Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the campus, including all Arboretum plant material and arboretum sponsored projects.  The Facilities Management Grounds Organization is responsible for grounds maintenance (mowing, trash and litter, snow removal, tree and shrub care) and irrigation system operation and maintenance for the general fund areas on campus.

• Turf management (e.g., fertilizing, weeding, watering, mowing)
• Landscape management (e.g., planting flowerbeds, fertilizing, watering, weeding,
  trimming trees)
• Irrigation systems (e.g., designing, installing, maintaining)
• Trash and litter pick up
• Snow removal operations
• Raking leaves
• Parking lot and sidewalk repair and maintenance
• Moving furniture and Disposal of Surplus Furniture and Equipment
• Special event set-ups and take-downs (University Park Campus only, scheduled through Conferencing, Meeting and Event Services)
