Purpose: To provide guidelines and procedures to evacuate in event of an emergency
- Post evacuation plan
- Train employees
- Schedule and perform evacuation drill
- Create special plan for disabled persons
- Fire
- Pull fire alarm
- Call 911, Notify Campus Safety at
Ext. 13000
- Close doors, windows, exit
- DO NOT use elevator

- Hail storm
- DO NOT leave building
- Move away from windows
- If outside, look for cover
|
- Tornado
- Go to basement or interior room
- Move away from windows
- DO NOT exit building until warning
siren stops

- Work Place Violence
- Call Campus Safety at Ext. 13000 or 911 if life threatening
- Locate “safe” area
- Warn other occupants
- Stay calm - DO NOT confront aggressor

- Bomb Threats
- Call 911, notify Campus Safety at Ext. 13000
- Coordinate with Campus Safety to search premises
- complete bomb threat report

- Earthquake
- Take cover under table/desk
- Move with table, hold legs
- If outdoors, stay in open space

- Gas leak/chemical release
- Call Campus Safety at Ext. 13000
- Evacuate the building
