Summary of Campus Operations Policies
The primary mission of Campus Operations is to take care of the turf areas, flowerbeds and trees and shrubs on the campus grounds. The department does provide some auxiliary services on a limited basis and under certain conditions. These services are described briefly below. For more detailed information, you can contact Facilities Management at (303) 871-2200 and request copies of the full policies.
Set ups and takedowns for special events: Campus Operations provides tables and chairs, plus the labor to deliver, set up and take down this equipment, for special events that are reserved through Conferencing Meeting and Event Services (CMES). There is a fee for these services and rentals. There is also a requirement for five-day advance notice through CMES. CMES can provide information on charges (303) 871-4333.
Moving Services: Campus Operations will provide labor for limited moves, defined as those involving one (1) or less person-hours to accomplish. There is a fee for this service. Please access the online work order system to initiate a small move. Click here for large moves.
Furniture and Equipment Disposal. Campus Operations or the University Moving Contractor will pick up and dispose of furniture and equipment, provided it can be handled safely with our equipment and vehicles. There is a fee for this service. The department requesting such service relinquishes all ownership to the furniture and equipment once it is picked up by Campus Operations. Used Furniture and Equipment. Facilities Management occasionally has some used furniture and equipment in storage and available on a "first come first served" basis to other departments. However, since both short-term and long-term on-site storage is extremely limited and becoming more so all the time, the availability of used items is also very limited. If such items are located, Campus Operations will deliver them to the department. There is a fee for this service. You can download a request form available under the Forms section of this website.
Storage of Furniture and Equipment. Facilities Management has very limited storage capacity. Therefore, it generally must refuse requests for both short-term and long-term storage. The highest priority for any available storage is for items temporarily displaced during renovation projects.
