Instructions for using Sabbatical Application Template

For use with Word 6.0 and Word 7.0

When using Windows 95 and Word 7.0

    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. Copy the Sabbatical Template (by dragging "App.dot") from the 3 drive to the Templates folder under Microsoft Office.
    3. Open Word.
    4. From the File menu select New and a choice of new documents will be shown.
    5. Double click on the Sabbatical Template ("App.dot").
    6. A new document has been created which can be filled out and printed. You may also save the document under any name of your choosing.

When using Windows 95 and Word 6.0

    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. Copy the Sabbatical Template (by dragging "App.dot") from the 3 drive to the Templates folder under Winword.
    3. Open Word.
    4. From the File menu select New and a choice of new documents will be shown.
    5. Select the Sabbatical Template ("App.dot").
    6. A new document has been created which can be filled out and printed. You may also save the document under any name of your choosing.

When using Windows 3.0 and Word 6.0

    1. Open File Manager.
    2. On the C drive open Winword and then the Templates folder.
    3. Switch to drive A (or the appropriate letter for the 3 drive).
    4. Copy the Sabbatical Template (by dragging "App.dot") from the 3 drive to the C drive. This should place the Sabbatical Template into the Templates folder.
    5. Open Word.
    6. From the File menu select New and a choice of new documents will be shown.
    7. Select the Sabbatical Template ("App.dot").
    8. A new document has been created which can be filled out and printed. You may also save the document under any name of your choosing.

Additional Note: The text boxes allow you to fill in as much text as you need. The only restriction is that tabs and returns cannot be used within the text box.
