Front Porch Café open for the summer
(June 30, 2015) The Front Porch Café in the Anderson Academic Commons is open all summer and we want your feedback! Now is a perfect time to stop in, grab a bite and fill out a mini-survey. (Look for flyers posted throughout the café area for the QR code and URL, or fill out a comment card at one of the two feedback boxes by the café. This is a quick survey to find out how the Front Porch Café might better serve the DU community.
Shared Services Center officially launched
(June 23, 2015) Employees of the Shared Services Center have moved to their temporary off-campus office location and the center is now up and running. The on-campus Shared Services Center satellite office is now open in the Mary Reed Building in room 107A (access via the first floor, where the payroll office is located). Mary Dolson and Nikki Bosch are staffing the satellite office.

Marketing and Communications staff get dirty in the Bridge Community Garden
(June 23, 2015) Last week, staff from the Division of Marketing and Communications volunteered in the Bridge Community Garden. The garden, part of the Denver Urban Gardens network, recently moved to a new location and serves both DU community members and our neighbors. Marketing and Communications staff helped with weeding and planting, and put up the original Bridge Community Garden sign! If you’re interested in helping out in the garden, either as a unit or as an individual, check out their upcoming volunteer days or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Shared Services Center moves to new location June 22
(June 16, 2015) Employees of the Shared Services Center will move from their current organizations to an off-campus temporary office location over the weekend. The center will be up and running on Monday, June 22. An on-campus Shared Services Center satellite office will open in the Mary Reed Building in room 107A, staffed by Mary Dolson and Nikki Bosch. The satellite office will handle:
- Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) for all employees
- All HR benefit enrollment transactions
- Retirement plan waivers
- Tuition waiver forms for dependents
- Retirement-related paperwork (loans, rollover, distribution, etc.)
- Requests for copies of paycheck stubs
- Requests for copies of W-2
- Drop-off of W-4 forms and direct deposit requests
- Drop-off of grant timesheets and payroll redistribution requests
- International student employee taxation review and processing
- Pickup of manual check requests
- Temporary change fund pickup
- Drop-off for purchase order invoices, direct pay invoices and P-card packets
- Pick up new P-cards, accounts payable checks and Field POs

Volunteers needed for Campus Safety training
(June 2, 2015) Campus Safety is seeking volunteers to help with scenario-based training on campus June 12 and June 15 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. on both days. Volunteers may select one or both days but must be able to commit to all three hours. This opportunity is open to all students, staff and faculty.
