Learning and Development Opportunities

Annual Legal and Policy Update now available online

(Jan. 7, 2014) Each year we ask identified employees to participate in the Annual Legal and Policy Update. For the past several years, we've provided the option to attend an in person or complete an online course with a quiz. Since there are no major policy or law changes, this year's update will only be available online. Identified employees will receive an email notification with additional information. The course is available through Blackboard. If you are not required to complete the course, but would like to view the presentation for professional development, please call Human Resources at 303.871.7420.

Roundtable for new supervisors – We need your input!

Tuesday, Feb. 4, 9-11 a.m. - DuPont Room, Mary Reed building
We want to hear about what challenges you are currently facing or will encounter, what works well, areas for improvement, etc., to better support you and the team members you lead. This roundtable is open to employees who are brand new to supervision (within the first year) or have been a supervisor in the past but are new to supervision at DU. Supervisor Core Competencies – four-week series

Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28, 8:30-11:30 a.m. - Nelson Hall conference room
This highly interactive four-week series will provide supervisors or those wanting to move into supervision with best practices and tools related to supervisor core competencies. Upon completion of the series, you will receive a certificate of completion. RSVP to or visit the Training Channel in PioneerWeb to register.
