Open Enrollment for benefited employees begins this week

(April 29, 2014) May 1-15 is your chance to make changes to your benefits plan, effective July 1, 2014. The 2014-2015 benefits overview will be mailed to all benefited employees later this week, and you will be able to find the full benefits guide online by the end of this week. A number of information sessions are being held to answer any questions you may have, and you can also email totalrewards@du.edu.

Special benefits for all employees

(April 29, 2014) Open Enrollment for benefited employees is May 1-15, but did you know about the additional benefits all DU employees receive? Offers are available from banking and finance institutions, local restaurants, cell phone service providers and more! Start workin' your DU ID today; see the complete list of offers here.

Benefited employees: Open Enrollment is May 1-15, information sessions begin next week

(April 22, 2014) If you are eligible for employer-provided health benefits, annual open enrollment is your opportunity to make changes to your current voluntary benefits provided through the DU health plan. The 2014-2015 benefits overview will be mailed out the first week of May, and you are encouraged to attend an hourlong information session:

  • Spanish language session: Thursday, May 1, 6:30 p.m. – Mary Reed Building, Renaissance Room south
  • Spanish language session: Tuesday, May 6, 10:15 p.m. – Mary Reed Building, Renaissance Room south
  • Benefits overview: Tuesday, May 6, 10 a.m. – Mary Reed Building, Renaissance Room south

Emotional intelligence in the workplace

Tuesday, April 22, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Mary Reed Building, honors room 1 (lower level)
This highly interactive workshop provides an introduction to emotional intelligence including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. Activities throughout the session provide quick and easy ways to develop your emotional intelligence. Feel free to bring your lunch or a snack. Space is limited; RSVP to employeeservices@du.edu.

Coffee Break Series: Developing critical thinkers (NEW)

Tuesday, April 29, 8:30 a.m. – Mary Reed Building, DuPont Room
This 30-minute discussion will provide an overview of how to develop critical thinking skills and different techniques to apply for each situation. Come prepared to jump right in and start thinking about thinking. We will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. Coffee provided. RSVP to employeeservices@du.edu.
