Black History Month event: Wellness Through Community Vitality
Friday, Feb. 27, 5:30 p.m. – Anderson Academic Commons, Special Events Room
What role do Black psychologists play in the health and vitality of the Black community, especially in turbulent times? How do they get involved in issues of social justice and social change? These questions are even more pressing in light of current events, such as the Ferguson riots and the rising debate over the number of deaths of unarmed Black men and women by police officers. How do Black psychologists, who strive to serve their communities, respond to these issues and promote wellness and community vitality in such turbulent times? More
