Proposal deadline extended and registration open for the 2016 Diversity Summit on Inclusive Excellence
Jan. 21-22, 2016
The 2016 Diversity Summit will explore how each of us can individually contribute to creating an inclusive campus and in the process change our community. The 15th annual Diversity Summit chose a theme, “Beyond Good Intentions: Confronting My Bias to Change Our Community,” that is sure to get participants thinking—and acting—in ways that when combined with others gives DU the groundswell it needs to make lasting change. Workshop proposals are being accepted through Monday, Nov. 2, and registration is now open.
Call for proposals: Seventh annual Co-LEADS Student Summit
Friday, Oct. 2, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. – Auraria campus
The Co-LEADS conference gathers college students from across Colorado for discussions of social justice, activism, advocacy and social change. Students participate in large group activities and smaller workshops that challenge, grow and inspire them to make change in their own lives and their communities. This year, the summit will explore the theme: “From Tweets to Streets: Intersections of Mass Media, Social Media and Social Justice.” DU students, faculty and staff members are invited to submit workshop proposals.
