(Jan. 7, 2014) Did you know that over 40 percent of the food produced in the U.S. gets thrown out? Do you find yourself wasting food at home? Would you like some tips for food purchasing, prioritization of when to use food after purchasing, and meal planning? DU is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on a pilot project aimed at reducing household food waste. We are forming several focus groups that will identify specific best practices to guide EPA efforts in reducing food waste; if you would like to join the planning group for this project, please contact Chad King, Sustainability Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
