National Organization for Women Poster Contest For all current female students. January College Scholarships for Students with Parents with Disabilities Five separate $1000 awards. Information will be posted on website in January, 2010 National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship Available to high school seniors who support the preservation of the hunting tradition and actively participate in hunting sports. Minimum 3.0 GPA, be involved in school activities, and demonstrate community involvement and ability as a leader. Apply by January 1st. Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund For women who earned a high school diploma or their GED on or before September, 1997 and are planning to enroll in college. Apply by January 2nd. Education First Foundation Scholarship For high school seniors who attend West and North High Schools and who demonstrate strong character, a commitment to learning, and a vision for their future. Apply by January 4th. The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card. Current college students are not eligible to apply. AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students For high school seniors who demonstrate desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals and have financial need. Apply by January 15th. For Colorado high school seniors with a min GPA of 3.5 who demonstrate financial need, community service, overcoming an obstacle, and leadership skills. Apply by January 20th. Denver Tri-Chapters of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International For a junior woman majoring in Education with a B average, who aspires to be a teacher. Applications can be obtained from the Education Department or from the Office of Financial Aid. Apply by January 25, 2010. Toshiba Exploravision Competition For high school students interested in science and invention. Apply by January 29th. White Rose Scholarship Foundation White Rose Scholarship recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement, community service, and financial need, without regard for a person's gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, race, color, creed, lifestyle, or background. February BOCES-Frank Kazmierczak Memorial Migrant Scholarship For students pursuing a career in teaching and who can explain a recent history of migration in immediate family for agricultural employment. Based on scholastic achievement and financial need. Apply by February 1, 2010. Kaiser Permanente Diversity Scholarship Program For Colorado residents pursuing a career associated with the health care or public health fields. For students entering undergraduate, graduate or doctoral studies. Selection based on: Academic Achievement, Character Qualities, Community Outreach/Volunteering, Diverse Populations/Under-representation in health care & public health professions, financial need. Apply by February 1st. For full-time undergrad students earning a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, math, or engineering. Applicants must have a min GPA of 3.0 and apply for a 12-week summer internship if scholarship is received. Preference is given to underrepresented populations such as women, African-American, Hispanic or Native American students. Apply by February 1st, 2010. Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy The Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy is sponsoring a student essay contest that will engage college students in the issues of renewable energy, sustainability, and conservation. Rocky Mountain Society of Women Engineers (3) $1250 Scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited program for engineering or computer science. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Applicants must have lost a parent to breast cancer; for high school and undergraduate students planning to attend a state-supported college or university in the state where they permanently reside (Colorado). Young Epidemiology Scholars Competition Learn the methods that epidemiologists use - how to ask questions, gather data, analyze the data and present findings - and earn a $50,000 college scholarship. The Program develops a source of trained men and women from academic disciplines representing the skill needs of the Department, who are dedicated to representing America's interests abroad. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply. Apply by February 6th. Searches with Varying Deadlines A $500 award will be given to a student pursuing an associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Liberal Arts, General Studies, or Humanities. ~ A $1,000 academic award given to a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
