Graduate StudentsTypes of Graduate Aid: General Scholarship OpportunitiesGraduate students may be eligible for the following scholarships offered by institutions not affiliated with University of Denver. Please contact the organization directly for details regarding the application process. Application deadlines vary. Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation For full-time graduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement/financial need as well as leadership, volunteer, civic and academic services. AH & LEF Graduate Scholarships Available to full or part-time graduate hospitality students with a min. GPA of 3.0. Students may be enrolled in any graduate program related to his/her career within the hospitality industry if the student has an undergraduate degree in hospitality or four years employment in the lodging industry. If the student does not have a hospitality undergrad degree or the work experience, then the student must be enrolled in a graduate hospitality management program. Applications accepted January 1 - May 1. American Institute of Certified Public Accountants John Carey Scholarship Program- For Liberal Arts students pursuing graduate accounting study. Based on academic achievement, leadership and future career interests. Please check back in November for a 2010 application form AICPA/ Accountants Student Scholarship- For master's level accounting, finance and information systems majors. Please check back in November for a 2010 application form AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students Army Health Professions Scholarship Program The HPSP is available for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology. Available to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as high school juniors and seniors. Write an essay addressing problems on college campuses or about challenges high schoolers face. Apply by May 28, 2010. Free scholarship search, geared for African-American students, contains more than 300 scholarships searchable by GPA requirement, academic and career interest, and application deadline. Chinese American Library Association Scholarships Open to full-time students of Chinese heritage who are currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited master's or doctoral program of library and information science. Colorado Business and Professional Women's Education Foundation Available to women at least 25 years of age, a Colorado resident for at least 12 months, U.S. citizen, and attend a Colorado institution of higher education, have financial need. Students must have a minimum of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours still to be completed and consent to provide a digital photograph of self and quote for display on Education-Portal.com if notified as the award winner by the selection committee. Apply by April 1st. Feldman Fellowship for Graduate Studies in Journalism One-year stipend of $5,000 to defray tuition costs for graduate students in journalism. General College Scholarships and Graduate Fellows Search fellowships and scholarships by category. Last year IHS awarded 120 scholarships to outstanding undergraduate, graduate, law, and professional students who are exploring the principles, practices, and institutions necessary to a free society through their academic work. Institute of Management Accountants Scholarships offered to undergraduate and graduate students who are IMA Student Members, have a min. GPA of 3.0, and are pursuing a career in management accounting, financial management, or information. For undergraduate seniors and recent graduates planning to attend graduate school for the first time starting in fall 2008. Each award covers a portion of educational expenses, including tuition, living expenses, required fees, and books for the graduate degree chosen.
