Undergraduate Colorado State Aid
There are several sources of state funds available, on a first-come, first-serve basis, to students at the University of Denver. All students who meet the eligibility criteria are considered for the aid listed below after the completion of the Colorado Residency Form and submission of the financial aid verification documents.
- Colorado Residency Form
The University of Denver is required to verify a student's Colorado residency. All students interested in state aid must submit a Colorado Residency Form to the Office of the Registrar in order to be considered for state funds! These forms must be received by March 1 prior to the first academic year the student would like to be considered for state funding.
- FAFSA
Students should submit their FAFSA in time to be received by the University prior to the March 1st priority deadline each year to be considered for state funding for the upcoming academic year. Additional documents may be required; students will be notified via their DU email address of additional requirements. Awards are not automatically renewed from year to year. Priority will be given to those students who have all of their documents in and who received the awards in a prior year. Keep in mind that funding is limited.
The state of Colorado funds one merit-based undergraduate award and several need-based awards. The need-based assistance may only be awarded to students who demonstrate a financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
