Our capacity allows us to take up to 60 children each evening. As of right now, Night Owls is full. Our evenings have been a huge success, which we are hoping will lead to additional funding and more volunteers, which will enable us to expand the program in the future. We encourage families to complete the registration forms and send them in to us at the address located on this page. Once space becomes available, one of the Night Owls team members will contact you to get you set for your first Night Owls evening.
Given the newness of the program, we cannot predict when this will be at this time. Funding and volunteers determine if and how we can expand and how soon. We are working on establishing more permanent funding as well as recruiting additional volunteers. Once we have these 2 components set, we will be able to determine what our next steps with regards to expansion will be.
How do I register my children?
You can begin registering your children with special needs who are 12 years and younger and their siblings who are 12 years and younger by completing, signing and returning the following to us:
All children who participate MUST be registered at least 4 weeks prior to their first evening. Registration enables the Night Owls team to prepare for and care for your children according to their needs in the best way possible.
Please note within the Child Registration form, you can agree to participate in the evaluation of this program. We hope and encourage all families (and volunteers) to participate as this will serve as the beginning of research that will be used to establish Night Owls as a permanent program as well as inform standards for respite care for families with children with special needs.
