Access DU Systems

There are several systems at the University of Denver (DU) that you will likely access at some point in your academic journey. These systems all require a login name and password. Your login name is your DU ID, or as it is also known, your student number or Banner ID. You will also use a password, which will be assigned to you when you get a DU account. You will customize your password the first time you use it in PioneerWeb, and it can be changed at will.

How to Change Your Password

You can reset your password through PioneerWeb in two ways:

  1. Follow the "forgot your password?" link on the PioneerWeb login page.
  2. Click on the "My Account" link under the Go menu in the top right. Then, click on the "Edit My Account" link under the "Change Your Password and Security Question" section. Contact the IT Help Desk at 303-871-4100 for technical help.

If you have problems changing your password, please contact the office that manages your DU ID and password. If you are unable to change your password, students should contact the Office of the Registrar (303-871-2284) and employees should contact Human Resources (303-871-7420).

How to Get a DU ID & Password

When you become part of DU as a student or as a faculty or staff member, you are given a DU ID and password.

If you are a student and don't know your DU ID or password, please contact the Office of the Registrar (303-871-2284).

  • PioneerWeb

    DU PioneerWeb has replaced webCentral for the DU community. While the portal sports a new name and a mobile-friendly layout, PioneerWeb maintains the tabs, widgets, and single sign-on access to DU services previously offered by webCentral.

  • Email

    View the IT Help Center website for information about your DU email and additional digital media services.

  • MyWeb

    MyWeb is a service for students to register for classes and check grades and for employees to access vital personal information. MyWeb requires your student ID number and password to access information.

  • Portfolio

    The DU Portfolio Community (DUPC) is a fully developed web-based application that supports the academic community, and includes:

    • a searchable database of electronic portfolios for students, faculty, staff and alumni
    • community discussion
    • academic program assessment based on student work
    • an assessment rubric library
    • Portfolio requires your student number and password to access information

    The assessment tools enable students, instructors and advisors to measure student learning, and to use the results to effectively improve curriculum. The portfolios and discussion forums provide a mechanism for sharing and communication within the DU community and beyond.

    The DUPC was created through a joint effort involving DU students, faculty members, and staff, and was funded in part by a generous grant from the Donald and Susan Sturm foundation. It is maintained by DU's Center for Teaching and Learning.
