Funding
GSAC offers conference OR research funding for graduate students at DU. However, these funds should only be requested after you have asked your GSA for financial support. Please note: ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER STUDENT PER ACADEMIC YEAR.
Starting Winter 2011, GSAC will grant conference and research funding under a new set of funding guidelines. The purpose of these new guidelines is to increase the quality of conference presentations and research activities being completed by the graduate student population. In order to increase the quality of these conference and research activities, the GSAC Professional Development Fund, the funding source for all graduate students, has been increased to $25,000 per year, and the previous cap on funding requests (of $200/student) has been removed.
If you are interested in applying for Professional Development Funds, you must:
- Be conducting disseration research, OR Present, chair, facilitate, or in some form participate in a conference or case competition (simply attending a conference will not be sufficient)
- Have applied for, and received, funding from your GSA
- Received a written statement of support from your Graduate Director
Please see the attached documents below, for the GSAC Professional Development Fund application and guidelines.
