AREAS OF STUDY
International Administration
The goal of the program in international administration is to prepare students for careers working in administrative capacities in organizations involved in the international arena, especially organizations in the public and non-profit sectors. Specifically, the degree seeks to achieve three ends: (1) to provide students with a basic understanding of the workings of international society and the international system, (2) to develop the student's skill in working effectively in organizational settings, and (3) to develop the student's understanding of the public sector and the policy process. The program in international administration at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies is distinctive in that it combines the study of international affairs with the study of non-profit management, and in that it includes both training in the technical skills needed by managers and the development of competency in dealing with the human relations of the workplace.
