ISIME
The Institute for the Study of Israel in the Middle East is:
Pursuing Peace
The Institute for the Study of Israel in the Middle East at the University of Denver is devoted to pursuing peace for Israel and its neighbors through education. At ISIME we are optimistic because we believe we can make a difference in creating a lasting and sustainable peace for people throughout the region.
Educating on Campus
ISIME originated in the prestigious Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver, a program rated among the best in the world. Expansion plans include the opening of ISIME branches on campuses across the country beginning with the University of Colorado in Boulder. ISIME is a respected resource for scholarship and information, often providing analysis for students, the community, and the media.
Honoring Different Points of View
In a world where information sources are rapidly multiplying, it is often difficult to differentiate fact from propaganda. ISIME strives to unravel the complex issues facing Israel, including different perspectives on realities facing people living in the Middle East.
Building Bridges
Developing relationships with colleagues throughout the Middle East, ISIME fosters collaborative projects among people of all nationalities and faiths. These partnerships build bridges of understanding while promoting peace, prosperity and security for everyone in the region.
Respecting All Cultures
ISIME is known for respecting people of all cultures. Over the years, ISIME has hosted speakers from throughout the Middle East. Israelis and Arabs often teach together, side-by-side, demonstrating our balanced scholastic approach, and resolute belief in our shared humanity.
Seeking Solutions
ISIME takes pride in being action oriented, knowing that people-to-people programs transcend borders and political realities. Collaborating with Non Governmental Organizations and other academic institutions, ISIME initiates and promotes projects that are improving the lives of people living in the Middle East.
