Dr. Raed Mualem
Dr. Raed Mualem leads Mar-Elias, a dynamic and unique campus of schools in Israel which teach students from preschool through college located in Ibilin, part of the Galilee region of Israel. The comprehensive nature of his educational outreach is distinctive as his students are predominantly Arab Israelis with backgrounds that include Moslem, Christian and Paletinian heritage. Mar Elias College is established as a branch of the University of Indianapolis in the United States. Located on the same campus, he is the Senior Vice President of Mar Elias Educational Institutions that provide elementary through highschool education. In addition Dr. Mualem governs the Center for Teacher Professional Development.
Educational Credentials
Born in Mi’ilya, Israel, Dr. Mualem completed his undergraduate studies in biology and holds Master degrees in Science and Business Administration, and a Ph.D in Life Science from Tel Aviv University. In 1996 he did Post Doctoral work in Biochemistry in CNRS-France. His teaching credentials are vast including coursework in human biology and animal physiology, morphology and development. He also has credentials in management, including marketing, organizational behavior, theory and design, human resources, and healthcare economics.
Arab Leadership
During 2004, he played a significant leadership role in the United States Depart of State International Leadership Program, where he developed professional relationships with Arab University leaders from countries throughout the Middle East.

- National committee for Christian pilgrimage to Israel- The Galilee and the Negev development ministry, Tourism ministry and the Christian municipality council.
- Member of the Israel Physiology and Pharmacology Society.
- Member of the European Intestinal Transport Group.

- Member of the Israeli Environmental Protection Quality Society.
