Activities for the Academic Year 2007-2008

  • Iberian/Iberian-American International Conference on Human Trafficking

This is a project to propose Queen Sofia of Spain to host an international conference on human trafficking. The aim of the conference is to raise awareness and promote anti-trafficking efforts in the region, by bringing together actors working on the issue at different levels. We are at the research stage of this project to look for information on details of human trafficking in the region. If you would like to be involved, please email Anna Ikeda.

  • Slavery Still Exists Week

DU Task Force supports "Slavery Still Exists" campaign, a national grassroots public awareness program of Polaris Project on modern-day slavery and human trafficking. This year, we would like to have the SSE Week in February and involve undergraduate student groups to raise awareness on the issue around the campus through creating information boards, conducting an activist workshop, and inviting speakers. If you would like to be part of planning the campaign, please contact Amanda Moon.
