Whether your interests lie in business, law, environmental
studies, social work, communications, or information technology, every student
today needs to adapt to global issues, to grasp how the world works, and to
have an international approach to their professional development. The BA Program
in International Studies offers undergraduate students at the University of
Denver critical knowledge and skills for succeeding in a world that, for better
or for worse, has gone global. We offer a competitive BA degree that prepares
students for a wide variety of professional careers, from global business,
law, and government to public policy jobs relating to health, education, and
the environment.
DU's innovative International Studies curriculum encourages students to learn
about international events that directly affect their lives, and its gives
them a foundation to enable their success in a rapidly changing world.
Our mission is provide a rigorous and exciting program of studies that equips
students with the theoretical, normative, and practical skills demanded of
a well-rounded, well-educated college graduate. We offer a highly flexible
program of studies to allow students to develop their own expertise in Concentration Areas tightly focused on themes and topics of contemporary relevance.
Our faculty, staff, and students firmly believe that today and throughout
the coming century a global perspective is indispensable. Simply put, we endeavor
to provide an unsurpassed opportunity for learning about international affairs,
and for shaping them, in today's interdependent world.
