The University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) is pleased to offer the Teach for America (TFA) Partnership Program beginning in Fall Quarter, 2008. This new program provides increased financial assistance for Teach for America alumni who are interested in pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Both two-year and advanced standing MSW applicants who have completed the Teach for America program are encouraged to apply.
Teach for America alumni who are accepted for full-time admission to GSSW may be eligible to receive a $5,000 Teach for America Scholarship in addition to any merit-based and/or need-based scholarships they may be awarded. Scholarship decisions are made in March, and a maximum of four TFA Scholarships will be awarded each year.
The GSSW Teach for America Partnership Application should be completed and submitted to GSSW along with the Master of Social Work Application Form and other required admission application documents by February 1.
To further honor their service in the Teach for America program, GSSW will waive the MSW application fee for TFA alumni who apply to our Teach for America Partnership Program.
