Distance Education
The University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work has, since 2002, utilized distance education to reach out to regions of Colorado and adjoining states that are underserved with regard to graduate social work education. By offering classes in or near their home communities, GSSW distance education effectively reaches students in remote geographic locations who cannot take advantage of our on-campus program.
GSSW’s unique distance education model combines classes taught in the community by GSSW faculty and community professionals, classes that are broadcast or simulcast from Denver, and online learning. Programs are customized, both in content and delivery methods, to address specific community needs. In addition to the two-year distance education Master of Social Work (MSW) program, a one-year advanced standing option is available to qualified Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) graduates.
