The Gender and Women’s Studies Program Call for Course Proposals 2010-2011

The GWST program is requesting proposals for the 2010-11 academic year.  The program runs two 4 credit courses and three 2 credit Colloquia courses annually.  Proposals are welcome for all courses.  Courses should be gender focused, innovative, and possibly interdisciplinary in focus.  The Gender and Women’s Studies Program is looking for courses that are unique in their gender focus and not something that would likely be taught in another department.  Gender based topics with a global range would be very welcome.  This is an opportunity to teach a topic area approach you couldn’t easily teach in another department!

For the two credit Colloquia series, we particularly welcome course proposals geared towards practices of community engagement and service; social change and social justice; and self-reflexive studies.
