Denver Business Women's
Network DBWN empowers businesswomen with knowledge, leadership skills, encouragement and a network of resources while building a solid foundation for personal and professional advancement. Denver Chapter of Women in
Mining The focus of the Women in Mining
organization is to educate the general public, as well as our members,
about mining and the mineral industries. Women in Mining welcomes everyone
interested in, or involved with any of the mining and mineral industries. The League of Women voters of Denver, a nonpartisan organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Its general objectives are to establish positions on public policy through members' participation and agreement; to take concerted actions that secure public policies consistent with League positions; to enhance citizen participation in federal, state, and local government decisions; and to increase citizen participation in the election process. DWPC offers a range of public programs, author receptions, and writing seminars for budding and experienced writers. The Denver Women's Commission enhances
the quality of life in Denver by assisting women in the attainment of
equality and full opportunity. The Commission works with coalitions of
women's organizations to remove barriers and advocate for positive change;
monitors legislation and proposed policy changes. It informs women's
organizations who have an interest in legislative advocacy; publishes a
monthly news bulletin card outlining events and developments in the Denver
Women's Community. DWHL promotes female ice hockey by
increasing awareness and excitement by providing the most comprehensive
and interactive website catering to female ice hockey players, coaches,
officials, rink managers, families, and fans.
We believe in contributing to the worldwide advancement of women in

Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver
Habitat
for Humanity of Metro Denver--"Women's Build" Project Women are teaming up to make Denver a
better place to live. During Habitat Women’s Build, a Habitat for
Humanity home is funded and built under the leadership of women. The
Women’s Build house provides a single mother and her children with a
decent, stable environment in which to live. This
is a great volunteer project to do in honor of Mother's Day this May!

Higher Education Resource Services (HERS), Mid-America, located at the University of Denver, sponsors professional development activities designed to improve the status of women in higher education. Currently the office is engaged in four programs to facilitate the professional development of women in higher education and their advancement into positions of ever-greater responsibility and authority. The Junior League of Denver is an
organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the
potential of women, and improving the community through the effective
action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Merle Catherine Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women The Chambers Center will become the home and community hub for the students who attend The Women's College, as well as a regional resource for organizations and programs devoted to the advancement of women and girls and to the goals of creating pathways of economic self-sufficiency and the development of leadership skills. University Pride Pride's mission is to educate about embracing diversity and accepting differences. To comfort the confused and to challenge the comfortable. Rape Assistance and Awareness Program The mission of the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program (RAAP) is to eliminate sexual violence. Undergraduate
Women’s Council UWC
provides a medium for discussion and support in areas that affect DU
undergraduate women. Objectives
include supporting undergraduate women at DU; making connections with
other DU women’s groups; focusing on health and safety issues; focusing
on education and classroom issues; and focusing on empowerment. For 15 years, the Women's Bean Project has helped women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. We teach workplace competencies for entry-level jobs within the context of two active businesses: production and sales (wholesale and retail) of a wide variety of soup and food mixes, and a catering service. www.womensbeanproject.comThe
Women's College of the University of Denver State-wide Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault CCASA is a statewide coalition of individuals and organizations working together toward the elimination of sexual violence. As the collective voice of sexual assault survivors and those who support and serve them, CCASA's mission is to ensure that those impacted by sexual violence are treated with dignity and respect and have full access to quality services and resources. Association The CWBA works
to promote women in the legal profession and the interests of women
generally. CWF is a non-profit club formed in 1997
to encourage and support women who fly fish, who enjoy the camaraderie of
other women who delight in the sport of flyfishing, and to provide a forum
for women flyfishers to meet. Colorado Women's Hall of Fame's mission
is to inspire by celebrating and sharing the lifetime contributions of
Colorado's extraordinary women. Women's Integrated Health Project WIHP's mission is to ensure the mental, physical and emotional health of both women and girls through multidisciplinary therapeutic intervention. They have a fabulous list of local support groups and resources for Denver and Boulder areas. The Women of the West Museum is the
nation's first devoted to tracing and interpreting the history of women of
all cultures in the American West from earliest times to the present. Women's

The Women's Resource Center at the University of Colorado-Boulder The Women's Resource Center at the
University of Colorado, Boulder HeritageAspen, Aspen's historical
society, preserves and communicates the history of the Aspen Area for a
