Special Options for Honors Students Registering Spring 2010

Because of the larger than expected entering class, we have been able to add a second SOCS ("Hard Choice in Public Policy," with Richard Lamm), and will again have a third NATS lab.  Those of you who received a 4 or 5 on AP Language, a 5 on AP Lit, or a 5+ on IB English or will have WRIT 1122 or 1622 completed should take 1733 this spring, as well.   International students who are not planning on taking 1733 should contact Shawn Alfrey about the Honors component of their writing requirement.

Students who took no NATS or started in a non-Honors NATS in the Fall should have transferred into Honors NATS in the Winter.  Completing the Fall regular NATS and the Winter and Spring Honors NATS will meet both the University and Honors natural science requirements.  This option is ONLY available THIS YEAR.

Students who will be graduating in June 2010 will be allowed to take any Honors CORE to count for the WI CORE, regardless of its theme and course number.  The two non-honors CORES must be different from each other, and the last, Honors CORE can be in any category.  If you plan to use this waiver, you must email Assistant Dean Sidra Smith Wahaltere (sidra.wahaltere@du.edu) to let her know that you are an Honors student requesting to waive the them restriction for your Honors WI CORE.
