The Preisendanz-Schmid Scholarship was established by Donna M. Schmid (Psychology, ’78) in memory of her parents and grandparents.  The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support ($1000) to undergraduate Honors Program students embarking on their senior year and their thesis-project work.  Students are nominated each spring by faculty and fellow students in recognition of their academic and community achievements in the Honors Program.  The recipient must have completed their junior year and be in good academic standing and on track to meet all Honors Program requirements.  They must also have unmet financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.  Recipients are designated Schmid Scholars.
