Honors Opportunities at DU

Honors Activities & Events

The Academic Year is starting out in a hurry with lots of great activities.  Below are events coming upthis month:

September 16 -at 4:00 in Mary Reed 1

Ccome learn about the Center for Community Engagement and Serivce Learning.  Sarah McCauley will discuss the many opportunities to get involved and explain how win a grant to pursue your work. Refreshments will be served.

September 17 at 4:00 in Sturm 286

Political Science Professor Susan Sterett will help us celebrate Constitution Day.  Come discuss the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, compete in topical trivia and crosswords.  Bring a prop or dress as your favorite right or amendment!  Prizes! refreshments!

September 22 at 4:30 in the Renaissance Gardens (on the west side of Mary Reed)

Our annual Honors Picnic.  Come eat burgers, play bocce ball, and hang with your Honors buddies.  Learn about Honors events, Honors Council and clubs, and get to know your new Honors colleagues.  

September 26 at 7:00 in the Margery Reed Hall Little Theatre and Lobby  

The first in the Theatre Department's series of NEW (New and Evolving Work) at DU. DU students who have written/created something they'd like to share (plays, poetry, prose, visual arts, music...), AND any students who would like to listen, look, or chat with like-minded folks. Bring your dinner or coffee, help read a new play aloud or just hear it, read a new poem, show your art. Email Allison Horsley at ahorsley@du.edu to arrange readings/showings. Otherwise, just show up and support!
