Pioneer/Honors Book Group
The Pioneer/Honors Book Group is run by students. Books of all genres are chosen and purchased for students and other members of the DU community, who enjoy lively discussion and good food several times each quarter. The current Presidents, Katie Brown and Elspeth Sweatman organize meetings and communicates with members. For questions, please contact Katie or Elspeth.
This year's first books are two collections of stories by Salman Rushdie, Haroun and the Sea of Stories and Luka and the Fire of Life. Discussions be discussed on October 12th at 6:00 pm and the 14th at 1:00 in the Cave, Mary Reed 17. The next book is The Reluctant Fundamentalist, by Moshin Hamid. Discussion dates for this book are Wednesday, November 9th at 6:00 pm and Friday, November 11th at 1:00 pm.
Books are free to students who attend the meetings and are available in Mary Reed 2.
