Commitment to On-Campus Living

Residential life benefits students in a number of ways. Research has shown that students who get involved on campus earn higher grades and enjoy their experience more. We also know that living in residence halls helps students make friends, grow as individuals, and become part of DU's active community.

All these reasons support our decision to require students to live on campus for two years. (For more information, see the Guide to Residence Living [PDF].)

Options for everyone

Even if it's not a requirement for them, students on campus often find that the social and learning opportunities, location, convenience, and fair price of campus housing make it their best option.

We have a range of housing options for juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students and undergraduates over 21. You can share a suite, have your own efficiency, or live in one of the traditional apartments we have on campus.
