Thank you for your interest in the Resident Director position at the beautiful University of Denver!
Dear Resident Director Candidates,
We are thrilled that you are interested in joining our team at the University of Denver. The Housing and Residential Education department has four core values that guide our decision making, financial priorities, strategic planning, goal setting, and overall day to day operations. Our four core values are: Diversity, Sustainability, Student Support, and Staff Development.
Resident Directors are key members of the HRE staff who work directly with our students, parents, RAs, GRDs, other Student Life professionals to help cultivate our communities and individuals. We feel strongly that this position has a great deal to offer new professionals who are seeking an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where students are our priority. Resident Directors at DU are provided with the unique opportunity of not only supervising RAs and a Graduate Resident Director, but also providing leadership in our department by chairing key development teams and directing search processes.
We will not just provide you with professional development opportunities; we will expect that you take advantage these opportunities as we want to prepare you for your next positions. We encourage you to read through all of our materials that are posted online as they are designed to give you a better feel for the position, our department, and the University of Denver. We hope you will consider this position as you are beginning your interview process as we are confident that DU has a great deal to offer and we are looking for committed professionals who have a great deal to offer us.
Thank you, and please let us know if you have questions.
