Experience Residential Life

Living on campus is an important part of the University experience and students are required to live on campus and have a meal plan for their first two years. It's your chance to enjoy life in an around-the-clock academic community that values learning, sharing and diversity.

For most students, living on campus is one of the most memorable parts of their time as a DU Pioneer. Residential life is about much more than where you sleep, it is all about becoming friends with students from around the world and building a community of students who work, learn, and play together.

Scholarship Opportunity

The Student Development Scholarship is intended for students to use for development opportunities in areas that align with Housing and Residential Education's four core values: Diversity and Social Justice, Sustainability, Student Support and Development, and Staff Support and Development. Examples of development opportunities include: fees and/or travel expenses for conferences or assistance with expenses related to job search and interview processes (especially when travel is required).

Any student wishing to apply for funding from this program may do so by submitting an application with a short written essay addressing the intended use of the money and how it relates to one of our values. Applications will be reviewed by the Student Development Team. Funds are disbursed on a rolling basis as applications are received and reviewed. All current residents or students who have fulfilled their 2-year live on requirement are eligible for this scholarship.

The University of Denver Department of Housing and Residential Education holds student support as a core value of our residential communities.
