UPDATE: Single Sign-On now active. As of April 18, 2012, access to the online performance management system is through webCentral. You will use your webCentral username and password to access the system and performance forms (no little 'p' needed. Just your DU ID number).

What is PEDS?

PEDS is the University’s web-based Performance Evaluation and Development System.

NOTE: We recommend that managers and employees discuss performance goals, competencies, and professional and career development goals in person, before the employee drafts goals in the perfomamnce form for the manager’s review.

If the manager approves the performance goals as set out in the performance form, the form should be reviewed and moved out of the Goal Setting and Planning step. When this step is done early on, it helps clarify and set expectaions for the performance year.

WHAT'S NEW IN 2012

We have made some changes in the 2011-2012 PEDS forms in response to your questions, concerns, and ideas. Our goal is to help make performance management work better for you.

Here's what's different in the 2011-2012 peformance forms:

  • The job responsibility and goal sections have been combined. This will streamline the weighting process during the goal setting step. It will also provide more flexibility and accommodate a wide variety of jobs - from those focusing primarily on daily tasks, to those that are more project-driven.
  • Text at the top of each form section has been added to clarify how to use the sections.
  • Steps in the year-end review stage have been modified to clarify and reduce the "back-and-forth" form movement during that stage. This will also help speed up the year-end review process.
  • Alerts that the system is about to time out will appear earlier, to give you more time to save your work - and not lose it!
