Gloria Howell is the Office and Conference Coordinator for the Institute for the Development of Gifted Education at the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver. She joined the Institute in January, 2014. Gloria is responsible for all aspects of Institute conferences and special events and managing the daily responsibilities of the office. Prior to moving to Denver and joining the Institute, Gloria was a classroom teacher in grades K-12 in special education and general education settings in Montana and California. She served on leadership teams involved in developing and implementing a statewide grant to integrate Response to Intervention (RtI) and Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) programs and was the site-based coach to implement RtI and PBIS. Gloria was Second Vice President, Conventions, Meetings and Corporate Travel for an international financial services corporation in Los Angeles before she began her teaching career. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and has designed, coordinated and executed domestic and international conventions for several major companies and associations.
