Institute for the Development of Gifted Education

Support

The Institute for the Development of Gifted Education was founded in 1997 at the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, with generous initial support from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.

Continued support has enabled The Institute to publish:

Schools and school districts across the country, and around the world, purchase and use our curriculum materials, and unit sets.

Additional support from The Considine Family Foundation enables us to host an annual conference on a topic related to giftedness. Conference topics in the past have focused on the highly gifted, young gifted children and gifted adolescents.

In addition, The Institute relies on funds from revenues of sales and services, in-kind support provided by the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, volunteer efforts and donations of time from experts in the field, and endowment proceeds.

At times, The Institute has sought and received small grants to support the development of a specific curriculum unit. We continue to investigate additional funding sources and opportunities to ensure The Institute grows and develops.
