The Institute for the Development of Gifted Education was founded in 1997 at the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, through generous support from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation. Continued work of the Institute has been marked by the generosity of many committed to furthering the field of gifted education.
Support from The Considine Family Foundation enables the innovative work and leading edge research projects of the Institute to reach a broad audience. Through conferences, publications, program evaluation, and educational outreach, the Institute influences the future of gifted education where their vision of giftedness being understood, embraced, and systemically nurtured throughout the nation and the world is realized.
Generous support from friends of the Institute provide special initiatives, ongoing efforts, and targeted distributions.
