International Community Relations

The goal of Community Outreach is to link the various international communities on campus together with not only each other, but the broader Denver community in ways that stimulate greater knowledge and understanding for all.

Our programming and events seek to integrate students, faculty and staff together with Denver's international and internationally-involved groups. There are many ways we seek to accomplish this goal, for example our Global Ambassadors are a volunteer organization that participates in our Friendship Match program that links students and scholars directly with community members. Our International Graduate Student Ambassadors are students, who all have grade-point averages above 3.5, who participate in a globally focused leadership and networking program that provides them great insight and opportunities. Our monthly International Lunch provides students, faculty, and staff the chance to sample food from all over the world.

From the perspective of the greater Denver community, Community Outreach networks with other international organizations and groups in an effort to promote common interests and ties. We have participated in events such as International Business Day at the National Western Stock Show, World Trade Day, and the African Extravaganza. Yet with a nod to the idea that the world is getting smaller, we are always on the lookout for new organizations and groups to further network with.
