Hello all!  I am very excited to be teaching here at the ELC.  My desire to become an ESL teacher was sparked over five years ago while I was studying in a Spanish immersion course in Nicaragua.  During my stay, I lived with a host family and tutored my “sister” in English.   I found that I thoroughly enjoyed both teaching and learning language.  Once arriving back in Denver, I began volunteering and later working as an ESL teacher.  I then received my masters from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2009.

I love teaching students that are excited about language learning and live for those “Ah-ha! I’ve got it,” moments.  When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy riding my bike, being in the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.
