| Applicants
to the English Language Center should be at least 17 years old.
Exceptions are sometimes made for short-term study.
You
can use the Online Application Form below to begin the application
process, but we cannot issue an I-20 until we receive the original
bank document, a copy of your passport namge page and the
application fee.
You
may fax the application and the copy of your passport name page
to us at (303)871-6622. We MUST receive an original bank
statement or financial guarantee - it CANNOT be scanned, faxed or
copied. The application fee can be sent by wire, be a check
or cash. We do not accept credit cards.
Application
You must complete an application form. The on-line
application, aWord-version, and a pdf version are at the bottom
of this page. You must include your address in your home country.
I-20s cannot be made without this address. If you want the I-20
sent to a different address, you can put that down as well.
Financial Support
All
applicants needing an I-20 to obtain a student visa must provide
evidence of financial support. This letter must be an ORIGINAL
document with the bank/embassy address and telephone number and
must be signed by a bank official or Embassy advisor. The financial
statement must indicate the amount in the account. We would prefer
the bank statment in US dollars.
This
letter must confirm that you have at least $7,349.00 for EACH quarter
you plan to study at the English Language Center. The amount that
must be confirmed to receive an I-20 for a year is $22,047.00.
Application Fee
You must also include the $110 application fee. We
accept checks, cash and wire transfers. We do NOT accept credit
cards or Western Union funds. Your bank can transfer the funds to
the University of Denver's bank.

Passport Name Page
You must also include the name page of your passport
or a copy of a birth certificate. The name on the I-20 must match
exactly to the name in your passport.

Once
a student has applied and been accepted to the English Language
Center, the ELC will express mail an I-20
(certificate of eligibility for students). The I-20 is
