The
English Language Center was created in 1975 and since then, has
been a part of the University of Denver. Our instructors are highly
qualified professionals with Master's or PhD degrees. Many of them
have lived and taught throughout the world, and the faculty has
a combined teaching experience of more than 100 years.
Director
Norma King says, "I send warm greetings to all of you former
and future students of the English Language Center at the University
of Denver. There are so many of you whom I have enjoyed teaching
over the past 32 years and I hope there are many new future students
I will have the pleasure of meeting and teaching. As you can tell,
I love my job as Director and teacher at the ELC. I believe we have
an excellent ESL program with outstanding faculty and are a part
of a highly ranked university in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Our
students go on to be very successful university students. I am proud
that the English Language Center was one of the first 12 intensive
English programs accredited by the new CEA (Commission on English
Program Accreditation)."
