I
was born and bred in South Africa. However, I spent the last 15
years
leading a pretty nomadic life in countries such as Australia, New
Zealand,
England, Swaziland, Thailand and the USA. I taught my first ESL
class at
Qedusizi Primary School in Swaziland in 1992. Since then, I've pursued
other
professional interests yet I have continued to teach ESL whenever
I could.
Places where I taught ESL include a prison in Durban, South Africa
(1994)
and Nongkhai Technical College in Thailand (2005-6). I've now been
teaching
at the ELC since early 2007.
People who know
me will tell you I love teaching and interacting with people
from all over the world. The ELC is a perfect match for me in this
regard.
The diverse and vibrant student body as well as the highly professional
faculty and staff have brought me great joy and intellectual challenge.
I
look foward to continuing to work with everyone and to meeting future
students!
