  • M.A., ., English, University of Colorado, Boulder CO

I am a Colorado native and have taught for English for eight years. I started teaching ESL classes in Mexico after I finished my undergraduate degree in English. When I returned to Colorado, I continued to work with second-language students. My love for literature and the English language then led me to study for a Masters degree in English at the University of Colorado where I also taught university writing classes. Yet, I missed teaching students from other countries and cultures, so I returned to teaching ESL and completed a graduate endorsement program in ESL at the University of Northern Colorado. I have taught ESL ever since.

On a personal note, I enjoy learning about different cultures and traveling. I also love living in Colorado—there is so much to see and do in this state from hiking and skiing in the mountains to seeing plays and sitting in coffee shops downtown.

I look forward to working with you at the ELC.
