I was raised in the Rocky Mountain region, and I consider it to be my home. But I also love to travel, and I have traveled to 14 counties. My love for working with people from other countries began in my undergraduate studies when I spent a summer in East Africa. Upon returning home from East Africa, I began to regularly volunteer to tutor English. After completing my undergraduate work, I taught English in China and then returned to the U.S. to lead an English program for immigrants. I later moved to Minneapolis to teach in a small private college where, most summers, I brought my American college students with me to teach English in China. I have been teaching at the ELC since 2009, and I have loved every minute of it! The ELC attracts exceptional students from all over the world, and I am thankful to have gotten to assist these students in reaching their academic and professional goals.
