Hello everyone! I hail from the beautiful Pacific Northwest—Seattle, Washington specifically. My first true taste of life overseas came when I was a senior in high school—I lived for half a year in Stockholm, Sweden. I loved that experience of living in a new place, learning a new language, and befriending new people. In college, I had several opportunities to travel to Europe again which further fostered my love of different cultures. After graduation, I went to Shanghai, China for a one year short-term teaching post. One year turned into seven, and I’ve only recently repatriated! I spent my years in Shanghai teaching English to children, middle school students, high school students, and adult learners. I knew that when I returned to America that I wanted to continue working with and teaching international students. I’m so happy to be working at the ELC and look forward to meeting all of you!
