I have taught EFL/ESL for over 30 years in universities, in companies, and for military institutions in the Middle East, North Africa, the Pacific Islands, and the U.S.A. In addition, I was a Fulbright lecturer in Marrakesh, Morocco and the Director of two Upward Bound programs under the U.S. Department of Education in the Marshall Islands and in Pohnpei, Micronesia.
I am originally from Iowa but worked here in Denver one summer during my college years at Academy Riding Stable in the Garden of the Gods, and I came back again for a Peace Corps orientation before leaving for P.C. Morocco in 1973. I also have family here in the Denver area, so it is very nice to be back.
I have always enjoyed working with foreign students and am very pleased to have been part of a profession that is so important, especially with the enormous spread of English in our computerized world. The ELC at the University of Denver is very prestigious, and I advise any students who are truly serious about acquiring English to come here.
